Job DescriptionMission Technologies has been providing modeling and simulation software to the Navy Service Program for over 20 years, and the exciting work we do for this customer keeps growing with new and continued demand for our state-of-the-art modeling and simulation software that allows Navy sailors to simulate actual warfare scenarios. The demands for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and sophisticated Cloud technologies requires that we rise to the challenge to meet the need for years to come. We are looking to add a Configuration Management Analyst to our team. This position can be REMOTE.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesPlans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.Under the direction and guidance of the leadership team, this person would be responsible for:• Configuration management and data management of documents, hardware and software baselines, hardware baselines and data. Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system. • Configuration control during product development phase. • Ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations and system updates. • Developing complex configuration analysis plans to encompass contractual requirements. • Coordinating with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting. • Preparing deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. • Conducting internal configuration audits and compile audit reports • Providing project-level technical support to other staff. • Preparing or providing input to engineering analyses, status reports, letters, technical memoranda, and briefings. • Providing advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation. • Performing additional CM duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Scheduling and facilitating bi-weekly Review Board MeetingsMinimum Qualifications- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience. In some cases, education requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of applicable work experience.
- General Knowledge of CM Standards, e.g. EIA 649
- Experience with technology related to IT and networks
- Team player with the ability to act as the interface between different teams (Government/Contractors/Vendors)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with software GUI, such as Sharepoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- ITIL V4 Foundation Certification or CM-related certification
- Experience working directly with engineers and engineering managers with attention to process
- Experience with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence
