  • Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls.
  • Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access.
  • Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel.
  • Provides case status updates to management and end-users.
  • Supports and maintains effective relationships with users.
  • Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.
  • Support users in accordance to all corporate IT standards.
Support activities can include:
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults and providing resolutions
  • Installing and configuring hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Supporting launch of new applications and technology rollouts.
  • Document, prioritize, and manage multiple service requests and incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Document and maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets in SCF, SJC, SMF and TUS.
  • Manage the timely submission of purchase requisition and invoice for IT.
  • Perform and document procedures in order to increase IT knowledge base.
  • Share acquired knowledge among the other IT Americas team members
Qualifications
  • Strong background in IT (required)
  • Degree in IT or equivalent experience. (Cert in IT)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical approach to work product
  • Ability to work effectively with others as well as independently; strong sense of ownership
