We are a small environmental consulting firm with more than 40 years of experience with hydrogeologic, site evaluation, remedial investigation/design, solid waste and similar projects. We are looking for an environmental geologist or field technician for our office in Tucson, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
Perform groundwater, soil and soil vapor sampling; operation & maintenance of remediation systems; and other field tasks
Perform drilling with lithologic logging and well construction oversight; and prepare boring log/well construction diagrams
Perform support duties such as planning field work, making travel arrangements, coordinating with subcontractors, etc
Data entry and other office tasks, as necessary
Qualifications:
B.S. in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or similar field,
Potentially physically demanding work in all seasons,
Strong mechanical problem-solving skills,
Strong oral and written communication skills,
Able to maintain detailed, legible field notes and prepare report-ready summaries of work completed,
Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook,
Works well on own with minimal supervision,
Can be available to work outside normal hours when a project requires it,
Driver’s license and good driving record,
Willingness to travel,
OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training is a plus.

This is a non-exempt hourly position. Overtime compensation will be provided in excess of 40 hours per week,
