We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding techniques, with a focus on sheet metal construction. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to move materials around the construction site as needed.
- Use a caliper to ensure precise measurements and fabricate sheet metal components to exact specifications.
- Assemble and weld various components, including those made from sheet metal, to build and repair structures and equipment.
- Perform FCAW welding techniques to create strong and durable joints.
- Use a micrometer to inspect and verify the quality of welds and assembled components.
- Work in a construction site environment, where safety and efficiency are critical.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth and productive workflow.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus on sheet metal construction.
- Familiarity with FCAW welding techniques and the ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Knowledge of micrometer usage and caliper operation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, with a physical stamina that can handle the demands of a construction site.
