Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination:
Overseeing and directing the activities of landscaping crews, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
Task Management:
Planning, assigning, and prioritizing tasks for crew members, often based on project specifications and material requirements.
Quality Control:
Ensuring the quality of work performed, inspecting completed projects, and addressing any issues or defects.
Safety:
Ensuring the safety of crew members by adhering to safety protocols and procedures, and reporting any accidents or incidents.
Communication:
Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and any potential issues.
Equipment Management:
Properly caring for and maintaining landscaping equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
Problem Solving:
Identifying and resolving issues that may arise on projects, finding solutions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Training and Development:
Providing guidance and training to crew members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Deep Understanding of Landscaping Practices: Having a strong understanding of various landscaping techniques, including installation, maintenance, and design.
Practical Experience: Possessing practical experience in landscaping, ideally with several years of experience in the field.
Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Being able to effectively lead and motivate crews, delegate tasks, and provide guidance.
Communication Skills: Being able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, supervisors, and crew members.
Problem-Solving Skills: Being able to identify and resolve issues that may arise on projects.
Safety Knowledge: Understanding and adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Mechanical Aptitude: Being able to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
Physical Stamina: Being able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and operating machinery.
Foreman or landscaper leader must know how to do transplanting, trimming, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, blowing, mowing, irrigation and other forms of landscape maintenance.
Valid driver license required, must pass a background check . Position is full time Monday- Friday, Saturday 1 or 2 times a month .
