Position Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, balancing the hotel’s transactions, and providing excellent customer service to guests during the overnight shift. This role includes both front desk duties and financial reporting. If you are a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and enjoy working independently, this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Assist guests with check-in and check-out, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Handle guest inquiries and requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to assist guests as needed.
Financial Auditing:
Perform nightly balancing and reconciling of hotel accounts, including credit card and cash transactions.
Generate daily reports and submit accurate financial records to management.
Ensure all transactions for the day are recorded correctly and resolve any discrepancies.
Administrative Duties:
Answer phones and respond to guest calls as needed.
Complete end-of-day processes for the front desk and maintain accurate records.
Prepare the lobby for the morning shift, ensuring a smooth handover.
Safety & Security:
Monitor hotel premises for security and safety concerns.
Respond promptly to emergencies and report incidents to management.
Requirements:
Prior hotel front desk or auditing experience is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems (PMS); experience with OPERA or other hotel software is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Must be able to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays.
