job detailsjob summary:A Test Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Tucson, AZ area. This role entails planning, executing, and analyzing tests for mining and construction equipment at the Tucson Proving Ground, while prioritizing safety, collaborating with a diverse team, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.location: Tucson, Arizonajob type: Contractsalary: $18.08 - 28.87 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:

Plan and execute testing of mining and construction equipment and technology.

Validate new and updated products against engineering requirements.

Prioritize safety and health in all work activities.

Create project plans, write work instructions, manage building/modification of mining machines.

Outline instrumentation requirements, conduct testing, analyze results, and write technical reports.

Develop and validate machine systems and subsystems.

Utilize engineering systems for accessing drawings, specifications, and models.

Perform troubleshooting of malfunctioning components, systems, and machines.

Learn mining equipment operations and maintenance through on-the-job training.

Provide continuous improvement ideas for safety, quality, velocity, and cost.

Aid in implementing continuous improvement ideas under supervision.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

0-2 years' experience required.

Technical Skills (Required):

Use of software like Excel, Tableau, DATK for data analysis.

Utilize MS Office applications for technical and communication documents.

Technical Skills (Desired):

Experience with SuperComm 2, Cadet, Electronic Technician, CANape, and electrical system troubleshooting.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

Soft Skills:

Team player and detail-oriented.

Effective interaction with product group partners, senior engineers, and TPG operations.
