We are seeking an entry-level geological engineer to join our consulting group based in Tucson, AZ.Staff engineers are expected to perform the following duties. Skills in these areas will still be at an emerging level, and it is expected that many of these skills will need to be further developed on the job: Assist in editing and creating tools or programs for application to geotechnical engineering data collection and analysis (prgraming/coding)Provide data collection supportRock fabric mappingDrone mappingOriented core logging (Televiewer, Reflex ACT III, TruCore)Geomechanical loggingGeomechanical sample collectionProcess field dataCarry out multiple forms of analyses, e.g.:SurfaceBench-scale analysisInterramp analysisOverall slope analysisRockfall analysisUndergroundKinematic and empirical analysisAuditing of ground support designsProvide support in the writing of technical reports and memosFoster strong client relationships while on and off siteAssess risks/hazards and prioritize working safelyFollow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to Project Manager or PrincipalsBe responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projectsMay assist senior Geologist/Engineers on large, more complex projects.Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned
