RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client seeking a remote Software Engineer II.

Responsibilities: In this role, the Software Engineer II will understand both the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) and Financial Data Exchange (FDX) protocols and how they are used to transmit Banking, Investment and Tax data Perform Integration testing between software products and Financial Institution (FI) servers and systems including the planning, scoping, execution of test plans, and generation of defect/issue reports The Software Engineer II will identify issues and propose corrective action or workarounds required for internal and external partners Serve as an escalation point to find solutions to complex technical inquiries from internal or external partners Perform testing for OFX specification and compliance testing of OFX systems at financial partners via various test tools As a Software Engineer II, you will perform mixed responsibilities (QA/BA/PrM) on internal systems, early product version release testing, technical consultation, and various Data Exchange initiatives

REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer required Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application Experience with Authorization frameworks such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and FAPI is a plus Working knowledge of desktop products (Quicken Windows/Mac, Quickbooks Windows/Mac) including all aspects of online banking, bill payment, and investments Technically capable of analyzing error and system logs (OFX logs and Connectivity logs) General understanding of the banking and investment industry Demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical information, issues, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences Experience with Postman or similar API test tools is a plus Knowledge of JavaScript a plus Ability to quickly learn complex business processes Excellent attention to detail and results oriented with a track record demonstrating strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and prioritize efforts and deliverables as a strong team contributor Must have strong analytical skills, be decisive and detail-oriented
