We are an employee-owned aerospace company that is a growing research and development firm recognized for contributing to national security objectives by supplying innovative solutions to challenging technical problems faced by the United States. We have an immediate need for a Quality Engineer in our Tucson facility. We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in challenging environments. Our QA department focuses on process controls, metrics measurements, test witnessing, and inspecting & verification of hardware with software elements. As the QA engineer, you will be responsible for program and several site level Quality Assurance functions. This position is open immediately and offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide QA support for the development and production of computer and lidar products in our production facility. These products include hardware and software elements. • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. • Monitor, audit and provide performance reporting on the production of deliverable hardware and software products. • Investigate the causes of non-conforming hardware and software & facilitate investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. • Track quality assurance metrics, including but not limited to, non-conformances, bug reports and corrective action implementation activities. • Witness and verify regression testing and product acceptance testing. • Monitor and review quarterly supplier performance data. • Aid in the processing of incoming material in support of production builds. • Provide inspection data and quality assurance reports to senior management • Participate in all QA meetings • Provide program managers and engineers with necessary data to make informed decisions. • Create and document inspection plans for incoming material and in-process assemblies • Facilitate Program level MRB meetings and resolve quality issues using the TipQA Database.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. • 5+ years' experience in quality assurance • 4+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing environment • 1+ years' experience in software industry (secondary skill - a plus) • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills • Capacity to work independently and in a team • Proven capability to comprehend and represent technical product specifications • U.S. Citizenship and ability to acquire a TS security clearance • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process (a plus) • Understanding of QA process for software development, debugging and release (a plus)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000.
