JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an entry level Mechanical Engineer to add to our engineering staff. The candidate will design turnkey pump systems for the mining and industry segments. Projects will span from the conceptual stage, through detailed design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the system. The candidate will work with other engineers and designers, interface with welding shop employees, vendors and clients. This is an in-person position and will require occasional travel locally in Arizona, domestically in the USA and potentially internationally. Miller wants to develop an engineer to take on an ever-increasing role in the company. The candidate will train under experienced engineers and designers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will use Autodesk Inventor parametric 3D software to design and detail steel structures for our pumping systems
The candidate will produce hydraulic calculations to help select pumps, piping and pipe supports.
As part of the project, the engineer will be called to produce structural calculations to ensure the design meets load and factor of safety requirements
The engineer will be responsible for managing each project assigned to them.
Training for mine safety will be provided
EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have a BS in Mechanical or Mining Engineering
The candidate must have passed the FE exam
Experience with parametric 3D software is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus
Candidate must be able to work independently and with others on projects
COMPENSATION
The starting salary will be competitive within the industry and will include bi-annual bonuses.
