We have an immediate position open for an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to work on our fleet of trucks and trailers at our El Paso, TX yard. Diesel Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment in a family atmosphere are encouraged to apply.
Job Description:
Maintain equipment (trucks and trailers) according to company standards
Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
Perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, suspension, brake and air
systems on vehicles and equipment
Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing
vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Perform maintenance related work as required
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
Report to the Maintenance Manager and will be assigned duties on a daily basis
Have a valid driver license (CDL a plus)
Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule
Must have experience in heavy truck and trailer repair. Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening. Salary based on experience.
