Pride Now is currently seeking a temporary Materials Handler to work for our client, an American-made luxury electric car company, out of Tempe, AZ.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift needed NOW!
JOB DUTIES:
Safety of all employees, visitors, customers, and contractors in your designated area.
Perform pre-shift and end-of-shift checks on material handling equipment. Report any issues to Supervision/Team Lead.
Ensure correct PPE prescribed for duty is always available and worn.
Full participation in daily job rotation schedule.
Embrace on-the-job training to increase skillset.
Learn all applicable operations within the department.
Follow and clearly understand training by certified trainers.
Attend classroom trainings required for performing the process.
Cooperate fully when audits covering Manual Handling, Driving Standards and Standard Operation Procedures are carried out.
Understand key performance indicators for each duty carried out.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform 6S duties (Housekeeping) throughout the shift, ensure 6S materials are returned to specified area.
Escalate issues that require additional support to Supervision/Team Lead.
Communicate any safety incidents and risks to Supervision/Team Lead following company policy.
Participate in daily team huddles for key information communicated by Supervision/Team Lead.
Achieve team targets that support the departments goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification required
2 - 3 years knowledge of working in Logistics/Manufacturing environment.
An understanding of environment health and safety regulations.
Aware of manual handling techniques.
First Aid/Fire Marshall qualification strongly preferred
Must be flexible to work shift patterns as well as overtime when required.
