Janitorial Area Manager

Allied Universal Janitorial Services is looking for an experienced Janitorial Area Manager!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Management

· Recruit for open positions in designated territory and train all new hires

· Manage site supervisors and service employees by providing ongoing guidance, training and feedback

· Proactively identify performance issues and provide immediate feedback

· Control all time-off requests by planning, approving and scheduling yearly vacation needs and monitoring PTO limits

· Maintain safety and health regulations at all client sites

Business Operations

· Lead on-going efforts for process improvement to enhance productivity and increase efficiencies while sustaining high level of quality

· Implement cost reduction, profit enhancing strategies

· Financially manage and ensure account profit and productivity goals are met

Administration

· Perform payroll functions by submitting approved work hours

Travel

· Valid driver’s license required

· Drive company vehicle an average of 50 miles a day to travel from site to site for daily/weekly/monthly visits to customer/site locations.

· Expected to adhere to the company’s driver policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND CAPALITIES

· The capability to communicate in both the English and Spanish languages is required

· A valid and current driver’s license is required

· 3 plus years of previous supervisory experience and training is required

· Management experience in the cleaning and/or building management industries is required

· Working knowledge of MS Office and mobile device applications
