Position: Experienced Residential Custom Home Superintendent (Single Family Home Value Over $1.5 Million Required)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Grade: Excellent Pay (DOE) Plus Benefits ($75,000 / Year Salary plus Bonus available)
Reports to: Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
Hughes Building Company is a luxury custom home builder seeking to fill the role of Superintendent. We have concentrated on the design and development of many custom homes and select commercial projects in the Prescott Area. The company is looking for someone who has experience in a superintendent or project management roll in a high-end residential setting. Individuals without this background need not apply.
Essential Functions:
This role will assist the company project manager in completing all aspects of the construction project. Duties will include the following:
Run daily schedule of job sites, meet, communicate with, and manage subcontractors
Understanding of various skilled tasks to ensure project quality
Perform daily job site and construction project inspections in partnership with the needs of the Project Manager
Maintain daily logs of jobs and aid in updating cloud based job schedules and job information
Ability to meet with building inspectors ensuring projects are in compliance with current codes
Knowledge and understanding of 2018 Residential Building and Energy codes
Perform material estimates
Report and complete action items from job site and construction project inspections
Deliver materials to job sites, if needed, organize material deliveries through various vendors.
Ensure all job sites are kept safe and cleaned daily
Competencies:
Advanced knowledge of construction practices as they relate to custom home building
Advanced ability to read and comprehend plans and engineering
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to complete miscellaneous construction tasks, such as: deck install, light framing, trim carpentry, drywall repairs, and other various hands on tasks
Experience using tools and operating machinery
Knowledge in cloud computing and cloud calendar systems
Positive attitude
Education / Experience:
Prior Experience with single-family home valued over $1.5 Million required
High School Diploma
Clean driving record
Background check and pass drug screen
Ability to lift over 50 pounds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
