We are looking for a qualified Computer Technician to troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones. You will be the one to ensure the customer has reliable information to make a decision on a cost-effective solution. As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer hardware and software functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality. The goal is to maintain high a quality level of repair and customer service. Wiling to train the right type of person that possesses great mechanical aptitude and modern component knowledge.
Responsibilities
Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers
Maintain, repair and install technological equipment (ie:Laptops, desktops, phones and peripheral devices)
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to find permanent solutions.
Manage security options and software in computers to maintain privacy and protection from attacks
Perform upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
Requirements
Proven experience working with computer hardware.
Experience with Laptop hardware repair ie: screens, motherboards (willing to train)
Thorough knowledge of computer systems and current components
Good knowledge of system hardware and function
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Very good communication and customer relation abilities
Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
Computer hardware and software fundamentals
Relevant certifications or student in the field of Technology will be an advantage, but not necessary.
Willing to train without previous repair shop experience if applicant possesses the right base knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
