Currently seeking Radiologic Technologist for multi-site orthopedic practice.
Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, hold current ARRT certification and registration, and be licensed by the state of Arizona.
Responsible for performing diagnostic quality x-ray exams according to physician protocols, working collaboratively with other team members to provide the highest level of patient care in an efficient manner. Experience with digital imaging (DR), picture archiving and communication system (PACS), and electronic medical record (EMR) required. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform diagnostic quality x-ray examinations as directed by the physicians.
2. Escorts and prepares patients for radiographic procedures as needed.
3. Follows guidelines for radiation protection and patient care and safety.
4. Ensures positive patient interaction and demonstrates a professional attitude with all patients.
5. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice & confidentiality.
6. Maintain efficiency in daily workflow and operation of the department.
7. Understands PACS system and identifies problems with image transmission as they occur and notifies supervisor when corrective actions are beyond the scope of the technologist.
8. Follows procedure to troubleshoot and report issues with Konica Minolta DR Applications Specialist and/or service engineers; reporting equipment malfunctions and status to supervisor.
9. Performs clerical duties as needed.
10. Participates in staff meetings as required.

Must have the ability to plan, prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment that requires precise work and attention to detail. Must be able to problem solve and work independently. Must be prompt in attendance and reliable to report for scheduled shifts as assigned. Able to sit, stand, bend, and move equipment.
KNOWLEDGE:
1. Knowledge of x-ray procedures and protocols.
2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform x-ray exams, including body mechanics and patient movement.
3. Knowledge of x-ray equipment including common safety hazards.
SKILLS:
1. Skill in properly positioning patients.
2. Skill in identifying equipment problems and troubleshooting and correcting or notifying supervisor.
3. Basic computer and office equipment skills.
