Security OfficerYavapai Regional Medical CenterPrescott, ArizonaRequisition ID 2022-262940 Employment Type PRN Department Security Hours/Pay Period 0 Shift Day Weekly Schedule Varies Remote No Category Safety and SecurityOverviewAs our Security Officer at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors.Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises.Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codesin a timely manner. Respond to alarms and security related incidents

Report and document all accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety/ fire hazards and other security related situations

Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations

Provide assistance to all visitors

QualificationsMi nimumSix (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; or one (1) year experience as a security officer.

High school diploma or equivalent; or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer.

Valid AZ driver's license with satisfactory DMV report on file

American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of hire.

Workplace violence training annually.

IAHSS Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officer within 90 days of hire.

PreferredCompletion of college-level education courses in criminal justice

One (1) year experience as a Security Officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service
