4/10 hr days Mon-Thurs or

5/8 hr days for 40 hrs a week

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

As an Industrial Paitner in our powder coating work area, you will be responsible for preparing raw steel weldments for a powder coat finish. Raw steel weldments will be delivered to you from your internal supplier, the Weld Line. You will be the primary expert and owner of this finishing process. You will operate and maintain various hand tools and equipment to clean, spray, bake and ultimately deliver a high-quality product to your internal customer, final assembly. You will also be responsible for reworking any product that does not meet our quality standards. As a Manufacturing Specialist, you will ensure product quality using Bill of Materials (BOM), drawing specifications, work instructions, MEK/scratch testing, and documented procedures.

THE DETAILS:

Clean, powder coat, and assemble purchased, made, and subassemblies into a finished quality product meeting customer demand

Safely operate hand tools, cranes, hoists, material handling equipment, sanders, media blasters, and other machinery in the cleaning, powder coating, and assembly of product

Work with supervisor and engineers on nonconforming products, parts, and materials to identify root causes

Perform maintenance using manufacturer recommendations, schedules, and established standard work

Support plant safety program, follows safety procedures, and compliance requirements; maintain safe and clean workstation; perform daily cleaning and material disposal

Use production orders and workflow process to organize and prioritize work

Identify and pick parts needed for product cleaning, powder coating, and assembly; communicate stockouts and shortages

Assist with maintaining inventory levels of workstation parts, supplies, and other materials as required

Use Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Ability to lift 50 lbs., push large heavy carts, and stand for 8-10 hours

2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Mechanical experience (i.e. powder coating, sand blasting, wire brushing, autobody repair) preferred

Familiar with mechanical hand tools and power tools

Hoist experience preferred

Great attendance record; arrive on time and able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner

Able to work well with others, listens to feedback and adjusts accordingly, and eager to learn (asks questions)

High level of accuracy and attention to detail performing job duties; high level of dependability and high performer

You do not need to possess 100% of these qualities to be considered
