Description:
We are looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work in our Phoenix facility. Our Trucks and trailers (and BIG forklifts) need you!
Expected to service wide variety of medium to heavy equipment (mostly diesel), including tractors, trailers, trucks, and steel-handling forklifts. Vehicles are used extensively throughout Arizona, but primarily operate between railroad yards, distribution centers, and manufacturers.
You will be expected to be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and inspect, our equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Have a good understanding of automotive electrical systems and components, hydraulic systems, fuel injection, engines, power trains including transmissions, and brakes systems
Assist and train drivers and operators in performing basic daily maintenance on their equipment, such as checking fluid levels, lubricating moving parts, cleaning, inspecting, and reporting damage.
Keep accurate maintenance records on our fleet.
Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment while operating or servicing the equipment.
Direct, supervise, and provide training diesel technicians who may work with you.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience repairing trucks, tractor-trailers and forklifts.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Have a strong safety record, and are consistent about wearing personal protective equipment as required.
Be dependable.
