Seeking a sheet metal fabricator with at least two years of experience (16-22ga steel; ex: HVAC, Signage, etc. preferred). Will assist in the production of handmade lighting, art and décor, for a wide range of clients and customers.
Hours: 10-20 hours starting per week with potential for full-time.
Flexible work schedule available
Primary responsibility will be fabrication, such as bending using a box/pan and/or straight brake, spot welding (no TIG or MIG welding), etc. However, the individual will be expected to assist in other aspects of production and shop work, which may include cross-training in other areas, such as CNC operations, shipping/packaging, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Provide a valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication: Bending, welding, etc.
- Ability to operated sheet metal fabrication shop equipment and machinery (emphasis on box/pan brake, spot welder, shear, hand tools, etc.)
- Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
- Candidates must be able to lift at least 75 lbs
- Keeps equipment maintained and work area clean and safe
- Ability to inspect personal work for accuracy and follow quality control procedures
