Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing firm, is seeking a skilled Service Technician for a client in Phoenix, AZ. Our client specializes in heavy equipment and machinery for construction, mining, forestry, and material handling.

The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining construction, forestry, and utility equipment in the shop. This role also involves customer service tasks, including taking calls related to equipment issues, providing detailed service reports for warranties and billing, and coordinating with the parts department to ensure timely repairs.

Pay Rate: $25-$27/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Perform all work safely, following OSHA and company safety protocols

Inspect and operate equipment to diagnose defects and ensure efficiency

Repair and overhaul equipment based on diagnostic results

Perform routine maintenance checks

Demonstrate products to customers when necessary

Inspect parts for damage or wear

Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and repair defects

Use test equipment such as hydraulic gauges, flow meters, and electrical meters to diagnose issues

Read and interpret service manuals, including hydraulic and electrical schematics

Utilize parts books and computer systems to look up parts and diagnose systems with software

Provide technical assistance to customers over the phone or in person to resolve equipment issues

Record detailed information on work orders and parts requests

Assist with moving heavy objects as needed

Work in inclement weather conditions when necessary

Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and in good condition

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience as a Service Technician

Strong customer service and communication skills

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Proficient in computer applications and industry-specific software

Patient and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and within a team
