Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone experienced with fleets and vans who values flexibility and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
With operations in California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Washington and Nevada, GVHL is a fast grooming commercial fleet management startup with its own proprietary software and vehicle management platform designed to manage work trucks.
Primary Tasks:
Build and develop on our current Preventive Maintenance checklist.
Schedule & perform routine PM inspections and maintenance on grooming vans to ensure they are in good working condition.
Join team meetings to discuss fleet performance, scheduling, and operational improvements.
Identify and coordinate with vendors or suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment.
Use the company-built application to manage appointments for grooming van maintenance and repairs (Computer experience needed).
Close out appointments in the scheduling app upon completion of work, including attaching parts receipts and relevant data/photos.
Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with groomers to understand their needs and address any operational concerns promptly.
Communicate effectively with admin staff to coordinate scheduling and resolve logistical issues.
Perform general handyman tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or improvements at the lot or on the grooming vans (preferred).
Source new cost-effective vendors and hold existing vendors accountable to maximize vehicle utilization.
Help onboard new pet grooming drivers and walk them through vehicle operational procedures.
Be available for groomers any time they experience problems with their vehicle to help them come to a resolution (inbound calls).
Maintain all vendor relationships to ensure vehicles are on the road in optimal working condition.
Requirements:
Customer friendly and eagerness to help traits are highly desirable.
Fleet or automotive management experience required.
Spanish speaking is highly desirable.
Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience managing a fleet of vehicles will be looked upon fondly.
