HVAC Company looking for a full time estimator familiar with residential, commercial, and industrial.
We have a nice facility and are constantly growing.
Duties:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for all projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize estimating software (we use Fast Duct) to input data and generate cost estimates
- Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry standards to ensure accurate pricing
- Write up bids and proposals with accurate pricing and detailed descriptions
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other industry professionals
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information for estimating purposes
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating
- Proficient in using estimating software such as Fast Duct
- Strong knowledge of HVAC estimating principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with contract documents, including plans, specifications, and addenda
- Ability to accurately interpret project requirements and develop comprehensive cost estimates
- Experience with cost control methods and techniques
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Familiarity with HVAC management processes from project initiation to closeout
- Ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers
- Proficient in using HouseCall Pro or similar software for document management
