Assistant Shop Manager

Tooling/sharpening shop looking for a full time Assistant Shop Manager. Must be mechanically inclined and able to responsibly multi-task by running multiple machines simultaneously. Candidate must be reliable, trainable, and able to assist the Shop Manager check parts to maintain quality. Important to have the ability to learn new technologies and skills, as well as teach and train those skills to team members. Must be able to self-manage while helping to manage a small team to ensure output equals or exceeds expectations and demands of the clients. Must be able to work consistently and flexibly to fill in gaps with industry demand. Must be willing to work occasional overtime. This is a flex position that may entail some shipping, service, and delivery when necessary. Must have the ability to react and adapt to change as necessary to achieve shop productivity. We are looking for experience in metal or wood machining (CNC), tooling, manual grinders, drawings and blueprints, precision measuring tools, or a general understanding of machining processes and material planning. Must be team oriented with a can do, let's get it done attitude. This is a full time M-F position on early 1st shift. Salary commensurate with experience. RESUME REQUIRED.
