The Staffing Manager is responsible for managing recruiting operations and client relationships across light industrial and technology verticals. This role combines high-volume staffing expertise with consultative client engagement, ensuring accurate job placements, superior candidate experiences, and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management & Growth through Sales Development / networking
Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned light industrial and tech accounts.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding workforce needs, technical requirements, and site-specific expectations.
Conduct client site visits and job intake meetings to ensure alignment on job descriptions and workplace environments.
Upsell services and identify new opportunities for growth through networking, insides sales and targeting accounts.
Recruitment & Placement
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes for warehouse workers, machine operators, assembly line staff, forklift operators, IT support, and other roles.
Source, screen, and place qualified candidates into temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hire positions.
Use ATS and job boards to maintain talent pipelines specific to light industrial / commercial staffing job categories.
Ensure a strong candidate experience through communication, onboarding support, and follow-up.
Set daily priorities and monitor team KPIs such as fill rate, time-to-fill, submittal-to-hire ratio, and client satisfaction.
Handle escalations and troubleshoot challenges related to candidate performance or client dissatisfaction.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all placements meet OSHA and EEO compliance standards.
Conduct safety walkthroughs and training for industrial placements as needed.
Oversee background checks, eligibility verification, and documentation for all hires.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in staffing, with at least 1 year managing placements in light industrial and skill trades.
Proven success in recruiting for both high-volume and skilled trades roles.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, labor requirements, and job functions.
Exceptional client service and communication skills.
Proficiency in ATS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and job posting tools.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
Experience leading or mentoring a team.
Knowledge of local labor laws, OSHA standards, and hiring best practices.
