We are seeking a skilled alterations specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in garment alterations, utilizing sewing machines to provide high-quality alterations services to our customers for items ranging from men's jackets to dresses. This person would train to become the Assistant Manager.
Duties:
- Perform alterations on various types of garments including hemming, resizing, and repairing
- Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to achieve precise alterations
- Provide excellent customer service by consulting with clients on their alteration needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in inventory management of alteration supplies
- Open or close the store
- Take dry cleaning orders from customers
- Answers phones, address customers' needs, etc.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in sewing techniques and garment construction
- Experience in a fashion retail or alteration setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Spanish speaking is a plus
