We are looking for an independent person who is self-motivated, enjoys solving problems, works well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks and responsibilities at the same time. This position requires the Resident Manager to work closely with the General Manager to maintain the properties to promote attractive curb appeal, be responsive to tenant needs and manage positive relations with vendors.
The position requires the candidate live on site in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment and electricity are part of the compensation. This position is part-time with varied hours of approximately 24 to 32 hours per week. We offer 3 weeks paid time off.
The Resident Manager will be responsible for answering the phone, interacting with prospective residents and evaluating applicants, overseeing collection of rent and enforcement of rental agreements, preparing leases, managing maintenance requests, coordinating with vendors to complete maintenance requests and maintain the properties and other tasks as necessary to successfully manage the properties. The position requires knowledge of Landlord-tenant fair housing laws, computer skills and familiarity with Appfolio.
Available to deal with tenants and maintenance issues in a timely manner
Daily walk of property and clean as necessary, clean laundry room
Oversee day-to-day operations of property
Schedule, manage and supervise vendors and building maintenance projects
Complete tenant maintenance requests in a timely, cost-effective manner

Maintain records, reports and files

Available via cell phone during business hours and on call after hours.
