1. A friend of yours spent the younger part of their life in trouble often. They spent some time in juvenile hall and were occasionally mixed up with hard drugs. Recently though, your friend seemed to have gotten their life together. This person is like a brother or sister to you. They wind up getting a job working with you. After a couple months, you catch your friend stealing money from the cash register. They are doing it very slick though, overcharging the customers a few dollars each throughout the day and then taking the difference at night, so the store isn't missing any money. Nobody but you knows. You confront your friend and find out that they have been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and have been taking the money to pay for the treatments that they otherwise could not afford. What do you do and why?
2. You have a 9-year old child and you are the operator of a railway switch. You change the railroad tracks to make sure that trains are going the correct direction and do not collide with each other. One day, you are preparing to make a switch when you realize your child has gone down and is playing on the tracks where the switch is. If you make the switch, the tracks will move and crush your child. If you do not make the switch, the train will collide with an oncoming commuter train and 312 people will likely die. You have no time to deliberate and you must choose right now. What do you do and why?
3. You witness 3 gang members beating up a random teenager. They take his shoes and his backpack and run off. You recognize one of the gang members as your neighbor's kid. You see him and he sees you. Both of you lock eyes and recognize the other. After they leave, you find out that they have been beating this kid up every single week and taking his stuff. Each time, they tell him that the next week, they're going to beat him to death. When the police come to take a statement, they approach you as a witness. You know that if you identify him, they may come to beat you up next. If you say nothing, this kid will continue to be harmed. What do you do and why?
4. You are brand new at a job. You witness your immediate supervisor, a male, being inappropriate with the women at the office. While they say nothing about the harrassment, you have the ability to go talk to the CEO even though you are brand new. While you are thinking about it, your supervisor comes up to you and says "Hey. You look like you have a problem with this. Do you?" You tell him yes and he responds and says "I've been here since the doors opened. You've been here for 10 seconds. Who do you think the CEO is going to believe if you tell? I'll have you fired before you even get your first check". What do you do and why?
5. Why do you want to work THIS job? Are you here more for the paycheck or the experience of working with video games?
6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? 10 years? (Financially, what kind of job, what kind of life purpose?)
7. What do you believe your purpose is in this life?
