We are currently looking for a Maintenance Lead for a manufacturing facility in the west valley.

Maintenance lead supports the maintenance department by and coordinating activities of maintenance department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Training, coaching, and encouraging employees to follow proper procedures as well as acting as a role model for the employees in the department is an important aspect of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES:
Support through assigned work activities the company’s safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. Specifically focus on lock, tag, and try system.
Assists maintenance manager in establishing priorities and sequencing supporting plant operations.
Reviews, prioritizes, and schedules maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Restoring workflow if problems arise.
Work with maintenance manager in developing and implementing preventive maintenance activity on key / critical processes or equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, PLC ladder logic and line diagrams.
Uses facility maintenance work order system (CMMS) to assign and track activity of maintenance team members.
Training and development of team members.
Coaching and mentoring of team members to follow and improve standard of work.
Participates in continuous improvement and safety activities.
Balance the workload of team members.
Provide direction and assistance on difficult machining operations that require difficult set-up.
Assign, direct and work with others on development and experimental work.
Problem solving and establishing root cause.
Keep maintenance area clean and organized, ensuring everything has a place. (5-S)
Ensure areas of work are as found or better when maintenance work is performed by team members.
Track training and job performance of team members.
Research and order needed machine parts.

Education:
Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance field or equivalent
Experience:
Over 5 years of related work experience-Manufacturing background

Must be a self-starter and supportive of all team members and activities.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must have problem solving skills.
Time management and ability to be detail oriented.
Ability to perform math calculations.
Accurately review and compare information.
Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
Ability to be certified as safety first responder and power industrial vehicles.
Must have computer skills (proficiency in Excel a plus)
Experience in leading a team of maintenance people.
Experience and knowledge of PLCs and machine controls.
