POSITION SUMMARY: Set up, operation, and maintenance of fiber lasers.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Set up and run prototype and production parts on fiber laser cutting machines.
Follow all established processes and procedures daily.
Maintain housekeeping policies, ensuring that equipment, tools, materials, scrap, and finished parts are organized and stored properly.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and cutting paths.
Inspect and verify laser-cut parts to ensure conformance with customer specifications and prints.
Accurately record production data to meet process requirements.
Follow production schedules and instructions as required.
Assist in optimizing machine operation to meet production targets and timelines.
Perform job functions in compliance with quality systems and work procedures.
Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment usage to boost efficiency.
May be assigned other job-related duties as required, in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to inspect laser-cut parts using basic shop math and standard precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
Training & Experience:
Previous experience with fiber lasers is REQUIRED.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Capable of lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Capable of lifting items up to 25 pounds frequently.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
