We are seeking an experienced wide-format color print operator who has the necessary skills and experience to jump right into production. Although, we are willing to train for the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be creative, have a positive “Yes, I will help you with that” attitude with all team members. Must be committed to quality, always paying attention to details, consistently delivering outstanding customer service, and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. A team player that has a work ethic, who wants to do better daily. Monday – Friday full time 40 hours 8am-5pm with an hour lunch
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform work with: Canon 1280XT Flatbed Printer, Colex Router, Summa Cutting Equipment, HP latex printer, using Onyx Thrive
2. Producing rigid and roll signs and banners, custom finishing including lamination, mounting, and trimming.
3. Preparing large format signs, banners, and display graphics for shipping and delivery; creating custom packaging when necessary.
4. Handle finishing requirements; laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications.
5. Ability to switch projects in a fast-paced work environment and maintain high level of quality. While ensuring meeting accurate deadline dates.
6. Finishing production on all printed graphics, laminating graphics, applying to various substrates, finishing banners & displays, applying vinyl cut graphics
7. Willingness to follow department policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area, properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment. Managing machine logs and coordinating maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
8. Must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs. and performs other bindery duties as requested.
9. Function well with deadlines and able to multi-task.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience with large format imaging – roll and rigid printing and precision finishing.
Experience printing on a large variety of substrates.
Understanding of Onyx RIP software and color management.
Good preparation and highly developed organizational skills
Positive attitude; have fun while working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Strong time management skills.
Demonstration of self-managed abilities.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Installation experience is a big plus
