Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Book Scout to join our team. As a Book Scout, you will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating books for our collection. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for the thrill of the hunt.
Duties: - Frequent thrift stores, estate sales, clearance sections - Evaluate books based on quality, condition, and market demand - Utilize our dedicated app for efficient book evaluation
- Drop the scouted books at our shop in Mesa at Broadway and Mesa Dr - Assist in identifying book contributors - Support sourcing efforts by identifying potential book donors - Contribute to the overall success of the book acquisition process
Requirements: - Strong work ethic and attention to detail - Vehicle (We provide a 10% gas allowance)
- SmartPhone (We provide the app to evaluate books)
We also provide the means to purchase the books you scout. Training only takes a couple of hours and you get credit for books found during training.
The book scout position is paid by the book. Meaning the more you bring in, the more money you make. Income is based on your efforts. You can make as much as you’d like, there are no caps. We will go into more detail during the interview, but this position is very low stress with high earning potential.
