Our office is seeking to fill a position for immediate hire. We are searching for a part-time optician/receptionist/ front desk person to work approximately 30 hours per week. Our office is located in the East Valley (Scottsdale, Tempe, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Mesa area). No late evening hours or weekend hours. As an optician, you will help assist the eye doctor in general patient care. This individual applying must have a high school diploma or GED, be good with computers, have attention to detail, great personality, be honest, have good math skills, be reliable, and professional, have great people skills, and work well with others. New medical assistant graduates are encouraged to apply.
Optical duties include but are not limited to the following:
Strong sales and communication skills
Be flexible, and be able to multi-task various needs in the office
General front desk duties - answering the phone, scheduling appointments
Keeping the office clean and tidy
Pretesting patients
Verifying optical prescriptions
Ordering contacts
Adjusting and repairing of patient’s glasses
Dispensing and selling and helping patients select eyeglasses
If you are a fast learner, prior optical experience is not required. Salary is dependent on experience. We are willing to train the right candidate.
