ONLY LOCAL AZ RESIDENTS WITH PRIOR PROFESSIONAL CAREGIVING EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED
We are looking for a live-in-caregiver to provide daily assistance to my mom who is in her mid-70s. This position is to provide assistance approx. 3 days/week. Position is to cover Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays plus some errands/help during the week. We have other caregivers to provide coverage on the other days.
My mom needs assistance with all ADLs - meal prep, taking blood pressure, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers (to/from wheelchair, bed, and toilet). She has significant weakness on one side from a prior stroke. Caregiver must be physically capable of safely transferring an approx. 140 lb woman w/ gait belt. Position is to assist her in her personal residence throughout the day, provide companionship, and transport/accompany her to/from appointments as needed (physical therapy, nails, hair, family events, etc.). Private 1:1 care. Because of the personal nature of the job (toileting/bathing), FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY.
$500/week in pay, provided private 540 sq ft apartment, covered utilities and provided food/groceries. This is a LIVE IN position where the apartment is provided for the caregiver's full-time living (apartment is NOT shared with the other caregivers). Schedules and hours will be distributed between a total of three caregivers. This position will be responsible for covering approx. 3-3.5 days per week. Supervising my mom Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays - (during my mom’s awake hours, typically 7am to 7pm, with those evenings on-call). On-call hours consist of monitoring my mom via baby monitor overnight and assisting her as needed. My mom usually sleeps through the night without any issues but needs to be monitored for emergencies. Errands, grocery shopping, and additional help as needed. On-site apartment is being constructed, estimated completion in March 2025. See included renderings (drawings) showing an approximation of what the apartment will look like when complete. NOT ACTUAL PHOTOS. Temporary housing to be provided during construction following a 2-week trial period. AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER LOCAL APPLICANTS (who are already living in the Phoenix metropolitan area).
Pay/Compensation
- Compensation package consisting of:
- $500/week in pay as W2 employee, paid as weekly salary
- PTO and sick time
- Covered living expenses including:
Private fully furnished 540 sq ft apartment with private entrance, kitchen, and washer/dryer in unit. PLEASE NO PETS; EMPLOYEE HOUSING ONLY.
Utilities included/paid (electric, water/sewer/trash, internet, streaming TV)
Supplied groceries/household supplies for Caregiver’s personal use (large on-site grocery area stocked with a variety of items, see included photos – only partially stocked in photos)
On-site private 7x6 storage unit
Provided cell phone (iPhone 14)
Reimbursement for approved auto repair expenses up to $50/month
Job Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have ability to pass background check and screen for illegal drugs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
- Must be ok with friendly dogs
- Must have 2+ years professional caregiver experience
- Must be reliable, dependable and on time
- Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
- Must have reliable vehicle (for use in occasional transport of my mom)
- Must be able to safely transfer an approx. 140 lb woman with a gait belt
- Must be able to live in provided employee housing full-time
- Must work well in a team/group environment
