Job Title:

Experienced Cook – Pizza, Deli, and Sandwich Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook with experience in preparing a variety of pizzas, deli sandwiches, sub sandwiches, fresh-cut fruit displays, and other hand made fresh items like salad and Parfait. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and is dedicated to providing high-quality, delicious, and fresh food to our customers. The cook will be responsible for preparing food items according to established recipes, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Pizza Preparation and Cooking:

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to menu specifications, including classic, specialty, and custom orders.

Mix, roll, and stretch dough as needed to achieve desired crust consistency and texture.

Run and maintain various kitchen appliances that includes monitoring and timely cleaning.

Deli and Sub Sandwiches Preparation:

Prepare and assemble deli sandwiches and sub sandwiches using fresh ingredients.

Cut and prepare vegetables, meats, cheese, and other ingredients.

Follow recipes and specifications for sandwiches, ensuring consistency and quality of the menu items.

Fresh Cut Fruit Preparation:

Wash, peel, and cut various fruits to create attractive fresh-cut fruit bowls and platters.

Ensure proper storage and handling of fruit to maintain freshness and prevent cross-contamination.

Display fruits in an appealing manner to enhance visual presentation for customers.

Quality Control and Inventory Management:

Maintain high food quality standards by regularly checking ingredients and ensuring they are fresh and correctly stored.

Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, and notify management when supplies need replenishing.

Manage prep work to reduce waste and control portion sizes.

Sanitation and Safety:

Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and cleanliness of the kitchen area.

Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils before and after use.

Handle food items safely to prevent contamination and cross-contact allergens.

Customer Service and Team Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with the management and co-workers to coordinate orders and maintain smooth workflow.

accomodate customer requests to ensure their satisfaction is maintained in a most professional and respectful manner.

Take initiative to improve our services and evaluate menu items on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-2 years of cooking experience, preferably in a setting that includes pizza making, sandwich assembly, and fruit preparation.

Skills: Knowledge of pizza dough preparation, sandwich assembly, and fresh-cut fruit presentation. Ability to work with kitchen equipment such as pizza ovens, slicers, and blenders.

Attributes: Strong attention to details, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Working Conditions:

This position may require standing for extended hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends, is preferred.
