Sr IT Director - IMA Aero Separation

Position Overview:As a leader in the aerospace sector, we are initiating a transformative spin-off aimed at enhancing our analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities. We are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Director of Data Analytics and AI to spearhead the separation of DAAS (Data as a Service) applications, with a specific focus on governance and architecture. This role will be an individual contributor position, working directly with vendor partners to ensure successful project completion.Key Responsibilities:· Drive the separation of DAAS applications, ensuring the unique requirements of the aerospace spin-off are met while adhering to industry standards.· Establish and implement governance frameworks essential for managing DAAS applications within the new aerospace entity.· Architect and oversee the necessary frameworks for DAAS applications to ensure robust performance and compliance.· Collaborate directly with vendor partners, defining project objectives, deliverables, and timelines aimed at achieving organizational goals.· Serve as an individual contributor, leveraging expertise in data analytics and AI to drive project success through direct involvement.· Analyze and assess existing DAAS applications and architectural setups to identify areas for enhancement and innovation.· Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics and AI to integrate relevant technologies into the DAAS strategy.· Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project alignment across various teams.· Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, addressing challenges and recommending solutions for continuous improvement.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.· 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on DAAS applications, governance, and architecture.· Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale technology separations and integrations, particularly within the aerospace or related industries.· Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, data governance principles, and compliance requirements.· Exceptional ability to work collaboratively with external vendors and internal teams to deliver project objectives.· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to present complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.· Ability to operate autonomously and be self-motivated, taking full ownership of assigned projects.Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
