The Sr IT Architect is a senior technical professional responsible for administrating and maintaining the Microsoft 365 tenant environments. This role will oversee both the Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) and Commercial Microsoft 365 tenants, focusing on optimizing operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. With a strong emphasis on governance, architecture, and enterprise licensing, the Sr IT Architect will ensure that the environment is cost-effective and that best practices are followed, aligning with evolving business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services and the unique requirements of GCCH environments, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to support the organization's goals.You will report directly to our Director of IT Architecture Planning, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC or Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work & collaborate with Lead Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to build business requirements and check technical feasibility.
Implement and Configure: Implement and configure the GCCH/Microsoft 365 tenant according to organizational requirements and best practices. This includes setting up user accounts, managing licenses, and configuring security settings to ensure a secure and efficient environment.
Administration and Management: Administer and manage the tenant, including user accounts, licenses, and security settings. This involves regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of the Microsoft 365 services.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor tenant performance and health, and take proactive measures to ensure optimal operation. This includes analyzing system performance metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to prevent disruptions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards, including data protection and privacy requirements. This involves staying up-to-date with relevant regulations and implementing necessary controls to protect sensitive information.
Policy Development: Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce policies and procedures for tenant management. This includes creating documentation, training materials, and guidelines to ensure consistent and effective management practices.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tenant-related issues. This involves working closely with end-users and other IT teams to resolve problems and improve the overall user experience.
Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and updates in Microsoft 365 and GCCH environments. This includes participating in training, attending conferences, and engaging with the broader IT community to stay informed about new features and best practices.

3+ years of experience as a Microsoft 365 services and tenant-level administration.
Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 architect or similar role.
1+ years with GCCH tenant administration
Experience with security and compliance configurations in a Microsoft 365 environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
