Aero Test is a group of engineers and technicians within Engines & Power Systems’ Engineering Test Services (ETS) organization. We plan and execute gas turbine engine component, sub-assembly and core engine tests for all Propulsion engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). We are currently supporting new gas turbine engine technology development and test Facility Upgrades. We are leading and supporting various Engineering Transformation initiatives focused on delivering the data our customers need under accelerated schedules.The Senior Advanced Test Engineer will be responsible for leading turbine rig test coordination, test estimates, facility design, and capital projects for one or more product lines. In this role, you will be accountable for the preparation, coordination, and execution of Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) turbine rig test requests, with a focus on delivering high-quality data to our customers.You will be leading facility and test equipment design and maintenance for a wide variety of turbine rig test programs/projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective test facility design and maintenance, test equipment design, configuration, and upkeep, as well as test planning and execution. Leveraging your knowledge of engineering processes, discipline, and tools, you will estimate, plan, and execute tasks and projects related to the development of Honeywell engines. Additionally, you will mentor and train the cross-functional team to achieve all objectives for the test programs, utilizing your demonstrated experience.RESPONSIBILITIES
Make technical decisions, including coordinating technical requirements with customers, and advising leadership and customers on all technical aspects and issues to meet all technical requirements.
Approve technical content, technical commitments, and associated cost and schedule for all proposals or change orders (internal or external).
Mentor and train the team to achieve all objectives for the Aero test programs, leveraging your demonstrated experience.
Drive upgrades and maintenance of turbine rig test facilities and equipment to maximize facility and equipment uptime while optimizing return on investment.
Follow an onsite work schedule, with some tests requiring support on 2nd and 3rd shift.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
5+ years of experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Test, Project) and/or Test, with hands-on experience.

Demonstrated ability to execute quickly under strict schedule constraints while still achieving technical objectives.
Background in requirements management, validation, and verification.
Agile program management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Technology Readiness Assessment (TRA) and Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
