News Anchor & Multimedia Journalist, Telemundo Arizona (Phoenix)

Telemundo Arizona is seeking a News Anchor/MMJ/Consumer reporter responsible for the on-air delivery of daily newscasts for both the Phoenix and Tucson regions.  The anchor will also have responsibility for our "Responde" consumer reporting efforts. The role requires candidates to shoot, write & edit news stories for all our platforms, including broadcast, web, social media, and OTT. The individual will work closely with producers to ensure stories are accurately written and presented on all platforms. Responsibilities:Present newscasts to the viewer professionally, including breaking news during live newscasts, outside regularly scheduled newscasts, and on all our news platforms, including digital, social media, and OTT.Set up, shoot, write, and edit news stories for the station's newscasts, recorded programs, and/or other live station broadcasts - either in the studio or out on location.Work with our consumer Responde Unit to help solve consumer issues in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.Write and produce stories, headlines, and news updates for broadcast and all digital platforms, including OTT.Present a completed story with fair, accurate, and community-relevant content. Generate ideas and report breaking news in the studio or location. Coordinate, organize, and conduct interviews. Actively involved in sharing news content on Social Media platforms Follow NBC – Telemundo Social Media Policies and StandardsTelemundo weekend anchor and three-day-a-week Responde/MMJ for the consumer investigative unitAnchor special projects and non-news shows.Research, plan, and schedule stories or segments.Be expected to report/anchor from the field, live shots, interviews, and package stories.Make appearances at community events, including with social and civic groups and at schools and colleges, on behalf of the station.Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.Must understand the station's mission and priorities.Other duties as assigned.
