Location:2721 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of AmericaThe Internal Communications Manager oversees the daily operations of the Publications/U-Haul News Team and the Translation teams responsible for producing. Team effective communications that support and enhance management’s efforts to achieve unity of direction throughout the Company., which includes French and Spanish translators.
Organize, assign and manage daily tasks of the Publications and Translations Teams, including U-Haul News stories and translation requests. (30%)
Develop and foster relationships with leadership, both at UHI and in the field, to curate story ideas and translation needs.
Work with the Managing Editor to ensure U-Haul News stories and issues are completed according to deadline on platforms such as uhaul.net, U-Haul News, uhauldealer.com, U-Haul social media or blogs and other Company-sponsored domains. (15%)
Working in concert with the Managing Editor, organize U-Haul News photo shoots and other story ideas. Write content as needed.
Align and adapt department’s work and messaging to reflect the marketing objectives of program managers, field leadership and UHI management.
Create relevant goals to achieve these objectives.
Organize both short-term and long-term translation projects. (15%)
Keep Proactively keep up with internal communications and marketing trends.
Organize short-term and long-term translation projects across the System.
Keep apprised of relevant industry developments and external subject matter, including language laws in Quebec. Ensure French translations and websites are consistent with these laws. (5%)
Work with leadership and field teams in Quebec to ensure signage, products, labels, etc. are translated as required. (5%)
Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors to ensure French and Spanish websites are accurate and current. This Make often requires making financial decisions based on using cost/benefit analysis. (10%)
Create an annual budget and manage expenses to adhere to it. (5%)
Manage team members who may work remotely in other states and Canada. (5%)
Maintain and promote the Company library and efforts to digitize assets and share them appropriately through digital tools such as the digital asset manager.
Participate in the development and evolution of U-Haul University as a Systemwide communication and education tool.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Foreign Language or Business OR the equivalent in experience Experience:
3-5+2 years of management experience.
5-7+ years of experience in a relevant field (journalism, corporate communications, marketing).
