Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads team of direct reports—within district— to profitably grow CCNA market share and meet/exceed Annual Plan targets/performance objectives.
  • Develops and coaches team to maximize potential and build organization’s talent pipeline.
  • Uses sales processes to track all stages of the sales cycle, create focus around top priorities/opportunities, and manage/mitigate risks.
  • Develops and executes both district and national account plans and strategies to support building strategic customer partnerships and driving growth.
  • Establishes and maintains strong account/customer relationships (high, deep, and wide) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across district. Serves as the customer advocate and manages customer issues/opportunities to resolution.
  • Develops strong knowledge of products, value propositions, and competition. Identifies customer needs/pain points and uses value-added selling skills to recommend, persuade, and deliver solutions.
  • Coaches team to become territory/business experts – with the ability to identify end user markets/targets/project opportunities and ability to build action plans to drive market share growth.
  • Gathers market insights/competitive intelligence using multiple sources/connections, interprets data, and makes customer-back recommendations.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively across the organization, advocating for the team and customer, recommending solutions, and influencing/driving decisions.
  • Participates in the development/planning of the organization’s short-term andlong-term strategies and goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, or similar discipline preferred)
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years of management experience
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and focus efforts on most profitable growth opportunities
  • Strong leadership skills; proven ability to coach and motivate a distributor sales force
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong selling skills to include negotiation and closing business
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Strong strategic mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business intelligence/reporting software
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time

Additional Information

Work Environment:

This position requires an employee to work in a variety of locations including, but not limited to: home office, job sites, A & E offices and distributor locations. These environments are not controlled by ITW. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a construction environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the job sites. Certain personal protective equipment is required when on constructions sites. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and regularly required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. , able to walk and stand for long periods of time at job site locations. Able to access work in high locations, must be able to climb a ladder. Position requires approximately 50% travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
