Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent position as an Accounts Payable Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves working in the finance industry, focusing on the execution of various accounting functions, with a particular emphasis on processing payables invoices. Responsibilities: Review, approve, and process expense reports in a timely manner Maintain vendor files, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records Utilize accounting software systems to enter and upload invoices Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and resolve any discrepancies Assist with end-of-month closing procedures Correspond with vendors to respond to inquiries and resolve issues Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage accounts Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate records Review and verify invoices for check requests Utilize knowledge of accrual accounting and auditing practices to ensure financial accuracy Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Handle account coding and other accounting functions as necessary Employ knowledge of construction accounting in managing construction project finances. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding techniques. Demonstrable experience with Accounting Software Systems. Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services. Proficient in using Concur for managing expenses. Solid understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Ability to handle various Accounting Functions efficiently. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes. Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles. Experience in Auditing and ensuring compliance. Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Understanding of the Construction industry would be advantageous. Experience with Construction Accounting is highly desirable. Ability to handle Construction Projects - Accounting tasks effectively.
