Job Overview
The Child Care Assistant Director plays a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of our child care facility. This position involves collaborating with the Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and fostering positive relationships with families and the community. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to promoting the well-being of children.
Duties
Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of children.
Supervise and support teaching staff in their daily responsibilities to ensure high-quality care and education.
Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
Foster a welcoming environment for families, addressing their concerns and promoting open communication.
Collaborate with the Director to manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
Monitor children's progress and development, providing guidance to staff on best practices in child education.
Organize community outreach programs to enhance family engagement and support.
Experience
A university degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in higher education teaching or education administration is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience working with students or children in an educational setting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with staff, families, and community members.
A passion for educating young children and a commitment to their development.
