Job Description:

We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Associate to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, working with our sales and ops teams to ensure accurate customer records, including setting up stripe subscriptions and ensuring accurate billings. Managing accounts payable and receivable, working with vendors on purchase orders, reconciling bank statements, and any other day to day accounting tasks that are required for the ongoing success of the team and company.

Responsibilities:

Own the AP and AR processes

Create Stripe subscriptions and maintain accounts for customers

Create purchase orders for vendors, including receiving and matching invoices back to the POs

Match customer payments to their invoices, ensuring open invoices are marked as paid in all systems

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately

Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial data on a monthly basis

Work with Management to prepare recurring monthly accounting reports required for closing and reporting on the status of AP, AR, Revenue, Deferred Revenue, etc.

Handle entering of payroll reports and ensuring proper categorization

Collaborate with team members to optimize financial processes and enhance efficiency

Collect and maintain vendors’ tax information (W9) and assist in the preparation of annual 1099 forms.

Complete vendor/credit applications as needed.

Manage employee travel expenses and book travel when required for team conferences, marketing events, etc.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role

Proficiency using QuickBooks Online

Ideal candidate would also have experience using Stripe, Hubspot and Google apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.).

Thorough understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Please note, this is an in-office position. Being in person, with the team is critical to the success of this role. We do offer a WFH day each week on Wednesdays, the rest of the work week is required to be in office. We are very flexible with working hours and appointments as they are needed, but this is not a remote position.
