Job Description

Under general supervision of the Associate Director of the Knowledge Enterprise Procurement or designated department administrator, plans, organizes and coordinates the business operations functions in accordance with established goals, priorities, time limitations, funding limitations, and other specifications. These functions include customer service, purchasing, and record keeping as well as other functions designated by the Director or designated department administrator.

Additionally, this position supports the departments activities involving Knowledge Enterprise events, and research advancement, as needed. This position offers a great opportunity to manage a broad range of responsibilities, acquire new skills, and work independently and collaboratively with the team. The duties require excellent communication skills both verbal and writing, high level of attention to detail, initiative, organization, discretion, and self-management.

Salary Range

$42,413 - $50,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Prepares, analyzes, summarizes, and interprets administrative and financial reports.

Recommends and/or implements resource allocation and utilization actions for administrative and financial activities, as directed.

Uses effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Experience processing and reconciling financial and operational transactions.

Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience using the university's enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, Analytics, Concur, Kenexa BrassRing, Enterprise Research Administration).

Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to quickly changing priorities and short deadlines.

Ability to effectively utilize reporting formats and criteria to present succinct and meaningful management information to a variety of audiences with varying levels of interest/understanding.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND one (1) year of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and practices pertaining to accounting, budgeting, procurement, and human resources.

Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles and practices.

Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to accounting and budgeting.

Evidence of effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Experience processing and reconciling financial and operational transactions.

Experience preparing, analyzing, and interpreting administrative and financial reports (e.g., salary planning, forecasting, investment requests).

Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience using the university's enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, Analytics, Concur, Kenexa BrassRing, Enterprise Research Administration).

Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to quickly changing priorities and short deadlines.

Ability to effectively utilize reporting formats and criteria to present succinct and meaningful management information to a variety of audiences with varying levels of interest/understanding.

Remote work is an arrangement where the employee spends less than 60% of their regular workweek at a regularly assigned ASU work location. Executive vice president-level approval is required.

Standard Working Environment:

Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.

Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.

Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.
