We are hiring a remote, full-time accountant/bookkeeper who will wear multiple hats. We are a small company with a family-feel atmosphere. Please apply and send your resume if you can meet the following responsibilities and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the accuracy of the company P&L and Balance Sheet
- Income/expense variance analysis
- Journal Entries/Accruals
- Compliance – Annual reports, business license, other city/state reporting as needed
- Quarterly B&O tax preparation and filing
- Reconcile monthly bank statements
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements
- Maintain various spreadsheets
- Process credit card activity
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- ACH/Wire templates and payments
- Monitor cash flow and A/R aging
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Implement and maintain company policies
- Payroll for employees who work in other states
- Oversee and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Payroll for employees who work in other states
Qualifications/Traits:
- 3+ years Accounting experience
- 3 + QuickBooks experience
- Proactively answer emails and requests in a timely fashion
- Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of developing and implementing process and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter, Ethical, Multi-tasker, Tech savvy, Team player, Analytical
- Experience with Dropbox, Skype, Word, and Outlook.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, etc.)
- Ability to have high level view while also being able to contribute to day-to-day activities.
- Willingness to take on other responsibilities as needed
Added bonus if you have the following:
- Budget forecasting and reporting experience
- Financial analysis experience
- Experience working with CPAs, Bankers, Insurance providers
- General knowledge of how database works
