JOB SUMMARY:
Drop Bury Technicians are responsible for burying cable service drops. Jobs involve customer contact, surveying property for obstacles, planning the bury route, performing physical labor in completing the drop bury, and restoration of property.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Employees will need to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug screen, perform a motor vehicle report and have a valid driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all issued equipment is in good working order and fully charged daily.
Complete digs precisely and in a safe and timely manner.
Properly track working hours and mileage daily.
Maintain the assigned company vehicle:
o Provide an initial and monthly vehicle inspection
o Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and organized
o Always drive in a safe and responsible manner
o Report any maintenance or performance concerns to management promptly
o Refuel vehicle before falling under ¼ tank
o Assigned gas card is kept in a secured location. If lost of stolen, management must be notified immediately.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work outdoors and travel in all kinds of weather.
Must be able to perform near power lines and electricity.
Be within the maximum weight limitations of the equipment.
Ability to operate a variety of drop bury equipment.
Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices.
Must be able to be outdoors with all aspects of nature including a variety of insects and plants.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Locate and survey properties for drops
Manually dig trenches
Use digging equipment for trenches when necessary
Restore customer property
