Groundwater Partners, Inc. is a consulting firm doing work in the water remediation industry. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills and the ability to create a complete HR workflow experience for our growing company. You will be expected to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion regarding all matters, data, and documents. Background check required.

Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Ensure confidentiality protocols are followed

Implementation of an HR Management system (HRIS)

Support and guide employees on a range of HR-related topics, processes, and policies including hiring, payroll, and benefits.

Create and facilitate the onboarding experience for new hires

Manage benefits oversight and administration, including monthly and yearly benefit enrollment

Recruit for assigned positions as directed, including creating and posting job ads

Schedule and attend interviews alongside management (by phone or in person)

Screen resumes, perform reference and background checks, track I-9's, manage E-verify, CA New Hire Reporting

Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Accurately document all interviews scheduled and all candidate interactions/activities, including disciplinary actions and terminations.

Schedule employees, applicants, and/or other applicable individuals for orientation sessions, training sessions, and/or other related activities, including safety trainings (OSHA, HAZWOPER, etc.), pre-employment physicals, drug testing, and site-specific trainings

Review, track, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

Track and process any changes to employee information such as changes in job title, exemptions and saving deductions, personal information, leaves of absence, benefits, pay, etc.

Bi-Weekly processing of payroll

Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries

Communicate leave of absence information and FMLA documentation to employees and payroll

Keep up to date on Company bulletin board postings, OSHA Postings, Employment posters

Coordination of any company-wide events
