This position requires determining the effects of radiation environments on various components and systems. Radiation test data will be collected and used to verify component behavior in a variety of radiation environments. Tasks include analyzing and interpreting test data and leading and/or participating on teams that resolve technical issues. This position requires close interface with radiation effects systems engineers and designers to assure proper component selections are made.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop and execute radiation tests on electrical components and systemsDesign and develop component test hardware/software for various radiation environmentsDevelop radiation characterization and radiation lot acceptance test plansAnalyze and interpret radiation test dataDevelop and execute detailed test schedulesPrepare radiation test reportsPrepare and present radiation results and achieve customer approvalsProvide work direction and support for other engineers and techniciansExperience working in radiation environments, radiation facilities, and dosimetry systems to include prompt dose, total dose, neutron, proton and heavy ionMust be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineeringWE VALUESecurity Clearance preferred Knowledge of the systems development lifecycleIndividuals that quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and conceptsDiverse and global teaming and collaborationIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things doneAbility to adapt dictated by project changesAbility to multi-task and manage a variety of complicated tasksAn understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solvingHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
